FINALLY A POST, AND IT IS A LAYOUT OF BEN

OK, SO I HAVE REALLY BEEN BLOG NEGLECTING. I HAVE NEGLECTED MY BLOG AS WELL AS THOSE THAT I VISIT ALMOST DAILY. SOMETIMES LIFE GETS AHEAD OF YOU. I HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY DOING LAYOUTS, VERSUS SURFIN' AND BLOG HOPPING. I THINK I HAVE GOTTEN ALMOST 8 PAGES (ALMOST) DONE IN A WEEK. THEY ALL NEED THE FINAL TOUCH, BUT I DON'T THINK I USUALLY GET THAT DONE IN A YEAR!!

THIS IS A PAGE I DID LAST MONTH OF BEN. BEN WAS ONLY 2.5 YEARS OLD IN THIS PICTURE. WHAT A SWEET CHILD I DO HAVE. I AM A BLESSED MOM! THE PAGE IS VERY SIMPLE BUT I LIKE THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. LOTS OF DISTRESS INK, ACRYLIC PAINT, AND GLIMMER MIST. THANKS FOR LOOKING!

No pictures for this post, butt hopefully a little laugh. As i am sitting @ the table tonight, making some pillow boxes for some breast cancer awareness bracelets the kids are playing outside. I have all of the windows open and can watch them outside and hear them. Well, at least i could hear them. I heard a lot of screaming laughter and looked out and saw 2 ladies walking their dog and laughing, and just prior to that a car drove by and just stared. I figured i better go check things out. There was my son, my sweet Ben, with a t shirt on, and nothing else. yep, he bent over, pulled his cheeks apart and gave the ladies, yet another full moon. Thats my BOY!! How do you not laugh at this????

BiRtHdaY CaKES TraDitIOn

Birthday cakes, birthday cakes.... since Ben's first birthday, i have never been able to pick just one cake, so i make what ever i want. this year i had so many ideas, but i only ended up doing 2 cakes, or you could call it 3... and yes, i noticed that i forgot to cross my T. oh well. the cowboy boot was my first at cutting a cake up to make it into the shape i wanted. i think they turned out pretty cute. Ben had to have black boots, no brown at all, however i did do brown and black. then on the round cake, was my first attempt at twisting fondant together. i also cut out horse heads, cowboy boots, and hat out of black fondant and placed them on the side of the cake. separating the fondant pieces, were ~S~, the Sogge brand. i think that the cakes tasted GREAT. anyway, this is one thing that is keeping me busy..

the other thing is, Pat went into my scrapbook room and was going to try to clean!!! YIKES that means THROW EVERYTHING away. so yesterday i went and got 16 jetmax cubes. i was soo excited to get them and start to get organized. that wore off real soon, these cubes are going to take FOREVER to put together. Especially when you have 2 little helpers. oh well! what is the rush???

A Little More FanCY pants ~ here ComeS Trouble

This is one of those picure that you know you must scrap. and i was on a fancy pants kick, so this is what came out of it. i gues the here comes trouble fits well with this page. and then i found the very first step quote. i was going to give it away to my neice, because i am not so much into clear flat stickers...... but i really liked the wording. and this is what i did. i matted it on the green and then cut it up. the big blue circle is technique tuesday chipboard. i love love love chipboard, and i really have loved these big ones from technique tuesday. thanks for looking!!

Ben Being SillY ~ FanCy PAntS

this is a fun quick layout i did using fancy pants. When Ben was a little guy, he loved playing with pots and pans. this is one of the cutest picture i got of him , looking through the strainer. he could not walk, but he could crawl over the cupboards and get just what he wanted. and leave everything else on the floor. the circle dot stamp is CTMH, otherwise the rest is Fancy Pants.

Here is a super fun layout i did of my brother, Anthony, and Ben. I really love this layout. When i shared this with my brother, he was in awe..... he said " i never new you were and artist". Now that is a HUGE compliment from my baby bro. i had the patterned paper in my "stash" and decided, i was gonna use it. then i thought of the corrugated cardboard and my design came. i mixed glimmermist with white acrylic paint and added this to the card board and randomly on the layout and picture. I really distressed the love ticket, and that is about all.

Halloween~ i am running a little late for adding this on here, but i had it started on the first, however Ben's picture would not load, so i had to get another one. Here is the world's most handsome cowboy,,,,, BEN. he looked so cute.

This is a picture of my cuties going to my grandma's apartment. Ben was not cooperating for picures, and i wanted one with the 2 of them. not soo great!!

Princess Elizabeth was just loving the camera attention. i made her top with glimmer mist and bling. it started out completely white. the tutu is from hannahtutus on etsy. and this is the most gorgeous tutu. The queen (me) actually loaned Ellie one of my crowns for her hair.

Boy: A Noise with Dirt On It

here is a super fun layout that i did, with the help from Ben! i started out with a plain craft 12x12 i used distress ink and then stampes with acrylic paint in various alphas. all with the help of Ben. then i found some cardboard that i tore and distressed this with distress ink. the BOY is stamped from tim holtz stamps and distress ink. the other letters, i used quickutz. I have been waiting to do these pictures, i just did not have the right passion and ideas for this. i am super happy with how this came out. especially since the fact i put more then one picure on a page!!! a little background behind the picures. My mom picked Ben up from daycare one day and this is how i got my little sweet boy back. Ben has sooo much fun at my parents, i am some day hoping that we can move to the country also. thanks for looking!!

The FirSt oF maNy EARLy BiRD~ cosmo cricket

this is a layout done with cosmo cricket's Early Bird line purchased from Cathy @http://alteredplayground.blogspot.com/. I love love love this line, i think i bought 10 of each paper and 3 of the chipboards!! yes, i know i am a little obsessive. the picture is of Ben and i feeding the ducks at Canyon Lake. (i was pregnant with Ellie). i know i am not a photographer, neither is Pat. i scraplifted this from someone, i just have no idea who or where i got it from~ sorry~ i even looked on 2peas and scrapbook.com. so if you are the one, let me know and i will give credit, where credit is due!!

OuR 1st CaMpiNG TriP in OuR NEW Camper

Well, almost a month after buying our new camper, we were able to go camping. Thanks to my dad for towing it up to the campground! Pat has to work till at least 7pm every week night and 6pm on saturdays. Well, my dad set up our camper, thank goodness he knows about campers, because i am a complete newby to the whole camper camping thing. I was then alone in the DARK, ok, i had electric but it was DARK outside, with the kids and Grace. Pat finally arrived around 10:30 pm. I DID NOT SLEEP @ all! Ellie kept me up all night. Pat went to work on Saturday and left by 7:30am. Did i mention yet, that Grace is in heat!! So KC is an absolute nut!! Pat took KC with him, so i did not have to explain the whole birds and bees to Ben, who can not stop saying WHY, WHY, WHY, even when you have explained everything possible and every different way possible. So i thought, I am going to be a good mom and take the kids to the lake and let Grace swim. We were having a wonderful time. Grace is an awesome swimmer and Ben did a GREAT job at throwing sticks in the water for her. It was time to go to the mining claim for a family get together so i turned to get everything in order, and Ellie threw something in the lake for Grace to get. The only problem is, CAMERAS don't float. In to the lake i went~ Ben screaming that i was going to drown, and Ellie looking so dang cute just waiting for me to retrieve her "STICK". No such luck~ and i was soaked!!! i had no extra clothes in the car, so all the way back to the campground, soaking wet and smelling like FISH! So now i have no pictures, just this blog for my memory of camping. We went to the mine, and wow, do i love my dad's family, THEY ALL HATE DOGS!!!! i could not hear one more word about dogs from my aunt or i would of ........ well, we made that a quick trip to the mine. on the way back to the campground it started pouring! i made 2 trips from the car to the camper and i was soaked all the way through my underclothes!!! so now, my type of camping is WiFi and cell service. so i was checking out 2peas, and my computer CRASHED!!! have i told you that, that is where all of my pictures were!!! yeah, no longer have my pictures!! Dell is sending me a new piece to hopefully fix my computer, but all info is going to be gone!!!! OUCH! so there was our first camping trip. many more like it, and i will decide camping is just way too expensive. And can i say that i loved my camera!! I hope Horsethief Lake enjoys it as much as i did!

i love, love, love kaiser. and i love my boy. this picture is one of my favs of Ben! People say it shows how much like his mom he is. all paper and brads are kaiser, life chipboard form TLC, and thickers! and when i do one of Ben, i must do one of Ellie~ i love the paper and easy of use of close to my heart. one last layout using this paper pack.
